The dance
What is West Coast Swing?
West Coast Swing is a musical, smooth swing style danced to R&B, blues, rock-n-roll, Top 40, country western, and contemporary hip-hop. Developed from Lindy Hop, its playful, fluid movement improvises to visually mirror the feel of the music.
Beginners can master the basic steps quickly. Advanced dancers stay for the tricks, connection, and the feeling of creating something new with every song.
Wes teaches connection first — how to hear the music and move with a partner, not just memorize counts. Classes are 90 minutes, partners rotate, and Sunday socials plus Saturday parties give you a place to use what you learned that same week.

The perfect beginner’s swing — skipping, rocking, and twisting without the acrobatics of Lindy. Establishes the swing tempo for every age and skill level.

Rotational swing with hustle and Lindy flavor, plus close-embrace Balboa you can fold into jitterbug and lindy when you’re ready to go deeper.
